Greenhills Holiday Park is an ideally placed location to spend your well -earned leisure time – not only a short walk from the lovely Derbyshire town of Bakewell but also very convenient for many local attractions.

It is set in 12 acres of beautiful countryside and boasts uninterrupted views from all the pitches – 75 touring pitches and 100 tent pitches. Having mixed woodland on either side of the site provides for very sheltered accommodation. Dogs are welcome on site and owners are encouraged to use the designated dog walks. The clubhouse has a good variety of both draught and bottled beers and is ideally located to allow parents to be able to keep a watchful eye on their charges- enjoying the nearby children’s playground or recreational field.

One of the first visits on your list should be to Bakewell itself. This historic spa town has lovely shopping arcades, numerous intriguing emporiums, a swimming pool and golf course.

However, there is plenty for everyone just a short ride away.

Children visiting Greenhills Holiday Park would enjoy the thrills and excitement of Gullivers Kingdom Matlock Bath. Gullivers Kingdom is a theme park designed especially with families in mind and for children between the ages of two and thirteen. Also, Alton Towers is just a forty five minute drive from Greenhills and boasts such famous attractions as Oblivion, Air, Nemesis and Congo River Rapids. Or if a more physical day out is your ideal then Go Ape Tree Top Adventure in Buxton.  It is suitable for children ten years and over and is walking distance from the historic spa town itself.

For those who want to sample a traffic free experience then the Tissington Trail may be more for you. The trail is open all year round and is suitable for walkers, cyclists and horse riders plus pushchairs and wheelchairs. Bikes can be hired from Parsley Hay and Ashbourne and there are cafes and toilets along the trail.

Whatever your choice, Greenhills Holiday Park is a lovely holiday retreat for the family to escape the bustle of city living.
